Agrelo District, Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe 2000 Catena cabernet doesn't have a great, deep colour but its savoury fruit flavours and smooth sleek finish more than make up for any deficiencies. Its whole berry fermentation and unfined and unfiltered bottling leaves the wine with more than enough fruit to balance off the 45 per cent new oak used in the ageing process.
