Whitman Cellars Meritage 2000

Walla Walla Valley, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesWhitman Cellars was a pleasant discovery for us. The Meritage has a coffee/vanilla, blackberry cassis nose flecked with mint. It's ripe and concentrated on the palate with soft-ish tannins. It's a bit alcoholic but the mocha, cassis, blackberry and spicy peppery finish tends to absorb your attention. Good potential here - the blend is 77/23 cabernet sauvignon/ merlot.Tasted: 10 April 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
