Tuscany, ItalyThe blend is 50/45/5 sangiovese/cabernet sauvignon/merlot. New Age ripe nose with spicy coriander, vanilla, leather, game and cigar ash. It's big, rich and intense with mouth-filling blockbuster cassis and cherry jam fruit and more vanilla and coffee in the aftertaste. There's also lots of big chewy Tuscan tannins that will need time to settle out. We like the balance and weight.
