Walla Walla Valley, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesReininger Winery was the first of five boutique wineries located at the historic Walla Walla Regional Airport. The '00 merlot has a big peppery, spicy, coffee, chocolaty black cherry nose. On the palate it somewhat elegant with soft, grainy tannins. There is fine pepper, orange, olive, cherry and coffee flavours throughout. Definitely needs time to dissipate the tannins.
