Clos Roque D'Aspes 1999

Faugères, Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceGiant black licorice, black raspberry nose with similar flavouring on the palate. Intense licorice root and raspberry jam flavours with chunky textures and a dry, coffee finish. The high percentage of mourvèdre gives it an unusual flavour and texture profile. Impressive now but should get even better over three to five years.Tasted: 25 April 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
