Benevento Sangiovese Merlot 2001

Campania, ItalyDeep gamey, savoury, black cherry nose with just a touch of smoky sausage to keep it interesting. Soft, very dry, light and fresh with liquorice, black cherry, sausage meat flavours. It's a wine for spaghetti or grilled flank steak that delivers flavour for its miniscule price. This is as good as it gets for $7.Tasted: 03 April 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
