Napa Valley, California, United StatesThe '99 is a 62/28/10 blend of cabernet/sangiovese and petite sirah. At this early stage the wine is young, firm and dry (at least by Napa valley standards) and looking very super-Tuscan-like. The fruit is ripe but there's an undercurrent of cedar, licorice and mint that gives it a savoury edge.
