Sonoma Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesBarricia (a contraction of the owner's first names Barbara Olesen and Patricia Heron) is vineyard located in the "banana belt" of Sonoma Valley protected from the fog and cool air that filters in off the Pacific and San Pablo Bay. It has a bit of odd-ball nose mixing drain-pipe, pepper and licorice with some volatile black cherry characters. Smooth textures enhanced by the high alcohol with more peppery resiny cherry fruit finish.
