Ravenswood Old Vine Zinfandel Lodi 2000
Lodi, Central Valley, California, United StatesOnly 2- to 4 tons per acre are pulled off Kettleman Road Vineyard offering up an appealing ripe blackberry mocha cherry nose. Quite a rich attack of sweet ripe zinfandel fruit awash in pruny black plum jam flavours and a long warm finish. Look for a bit of tannin but this should continue to improve. Not wonderfully clean but more in the old-style comfortable format. Good value.
