South Australia, AustraliaThe millennium blend is a 74/26 mix of shiraz / mourvèdre. Spicy, mushroom, pepper, raspberry, tar and earth aromas mark the complex if slightly rustic nose. It's soft and round with a velvety palate and boasting plenty of spicy, raspberry, floral, fruit laced with earthy, leathery flavours and a tarry, spice finish. Bin 2 is an old and very individual Penfolds style that dates back to 1960 and always needs two to three years of bottle age to fully open up.
