Montresor Amarone della Valpolicella 1998

Veneto, ItalyThe blend is 50/40/10 corvina/rondinella/molinara grapes harvested in October and dried for about 120 days. Look for pruny weedy almond cherry aromas with a bit of sweaty leather. Rich cherry/strawberry licorice flavours that fade into a soft ready to drink finish. Quite ripe almost sweet in the aftertaste. The wine is aged for 4 years in Slavonian oak casks.Tasted: 09 March 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
