Napa Valley, California, United StatesNapanook is made from selected blocks within the Dominus Estate itself the reincarnation of the original Napanook vineyard and before that the first vineyard in Yountville. Slightly green herbal nose and black cherry fruit streaked with peppery, saddle leather and toasted oak aromas with some cassis and licorice. Elegant and dry with somewhat lean tannins and spicy, peppery, prune and sandalwood flavours. Balanced and elegant but definitely a 1998 for tannins.
