Cà da Bosio Gavi di Gavi 2001

Piedmont, ItalyGavi di Gavi is another less than famous wine made from an the even more obscure cortese grape but this northern Italian specialty that will make going to the Winter Olympics a bit more special. Closer to home the Cà da Bosio Gavi di Gavi 2001 is really a terrific bottle of white wine and proof anew wave coop can make a difference. Terra da Vino has revolutionized the co-op method by building a high tech winery that process small lots of high quality fruit form Piemontesi growers. Look for an open buttery, dry, mineral/leesy nose with some peach streaks in the background. The flavours are a delicate mix of nutty, peach with vanilla oak edging. Well made with some finesse and very easy to sip. Fabulous restaurant dinner wine.Tasted: 10 January 2003Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
