Sicily, ItalyQuite perfume on the nose with black cherry, spicy, licorice and streaks of earthy, leafy aromas. A bit hot but rich and round with concentrated super ripe cherry jam, sweet vanilla, spicy clove flavours and an intense sweet oak and cherry finish. Very unctuous but balanced with good acidity. A fun wine to drink now and over the next five years although it may be a bit much for most foods.
