Northern Sonoma, Sonoma County, California, United StatesGallo's "estate" chardonnay has been good from the beginning and remains so. Look for a big ripe, tropical fruit, mango/citrus and nutty lees nose that jump out of the glass. Intense flavours of pineapple and citrus peel with complex mineral notes underneath and a hazelnut finish. Impressive styling, excellent crisp style and a broader palate.
