Jackson-Triggs Meritage Proprietors' Reserve 2001
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDeep almost opaque colour tank sample. Raw cabernet coffee fruit. Open volatile pepper and barnyard nose with strong blackcurrant/cassis aromas. Rich entry but the wine immediately leans out on the mid-palate with resiny coffee pepper aromas and not much fruit.
