Like well aged reservas most Gallo labels are older then their peers. Whether that's smart marketing or slow sales doesn't seem to matter to consumers who can enjoy some impressive bottle aged wine -- like the '96 Stefani. This is one big red with licorice spice and cassis fruit aromas and flavours. The finish is long and warm with more earthy, spicy, licorice and plum flavours.
