Cécile Chassagne Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret 1999

Séguret, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThe blend is 60/20/20 grenache/mourvèdre/syrah aged for one year in older oak. We love the dark black fruit brooding nose with pepper and game highlights and a bit of chocolate in the background. Smooth entry but more substantial on the palate with bigger tannins and alcohol. Should hold well for a couple of years and then really open up. It has great black raspberry and anise finish. Pairs well with duck and poultry in hunter and mushroom sauces and cheeses. Prices:
