Windy Peak Pinot Noir 1999

Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaPinot noir is a relatively new variety for the Windy Peak series. Using old French barrels to protect the varietal character the nose is typically pinot in character. Barnyard strawberry cherry fruit aromas and flavours make this quite a pretty pinot and one that could surprise the sceptics who say cheap pinot doesn't exist. Some stemmy flavours and a bit of dryness but still quite good for the price. Tasted: 01 March 2002Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
