Dunnigan Hills, Yolo County, California, United StatesA wide ranging blend of merlot (77 per cent) with 17/4/2 split of cabernet sauvignon/petit verdot/malbec. Enticing smoky, vanilla, coffee/chocolate nose mixed with plum jam fruit. Lean thin mid-palate with sour cherry fruit and a smoky oak finish. Out of balance with a hint of port-like alcohol in the finish. Doesn't taste anything like it smells. Disappointing for the price.
