Les Cailloux Châteauneuf-du-Pape 1999
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceVery spicy, peppery, gamy, sweaty, prune, plum ad roasted pepper aromas with a touch of letter and chocolate, very good complexity. Rich, round and unctuous with very supple, fine tannins. Big intense ripe black cherry and plum fruit flavours mixed with licorice, earth and peppery orange spice. Ripe, somewhat tannic finish with good acidity. Delicious flavours now but needs five to seven years to fully round out and may keep ten years.Tasted: 01 March 2002Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:BC | $42.95 | 750ml |
