Banrock Station Shiraz Mataro 1999

South Eastern Australia, AustraliaVery spicy, peppery, earthy, cedar bark aromas with cherry berry background. Soft and round, medium light bodied with spicy, peppery, black cherry jam flavours. Somewhat acidic in the finish but good barbecue red for meats with sauces or patio and Tapas sipping. The mataro seems to add a lot of earth and spice to the blend.Tasted: 01 March 2002Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
