Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1998

Pauillac, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceVery open coffee, toasty oak, peppery, cigar tobacco, leather and blackberry aromas; much more aromatic than normal for a young Mouton. Elegant and round with moderate richness with more structured and harder tannins in the finish but very balanced and polished. Nice coffee, tobacco, leather, waxy, blackberry flavours that persist. Again, somewhat more forward style that will be best in 8-12 years but will probably tighten up soon and possibly age longer. Tasted: 01 October 2001Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
