Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot Reserve 1998

Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesSpice and barnyard, black cherry earthy compost. Spicy entry but elegant cherry cola fruit flavours. Plush textures and refined fruit. Big style here and more Pomerol-like to our taste. The wine is aged in 75 per cent new French oak barrels for 22 months. Over 75 lots were tasted and 50 blends were made before the final selection was produced representing one percent of all the merlot processed at Ste. Michelle. Lovely black cherry cassis and barnyard in the aftertaste. This would be a huge hit in Quebec.Prices:
