St. Hallett Sémillon Select 1999

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaMade from 70-year old vines, this has a very open nose of ripe fig, waxy, honeyed, citrus rind aromas with some toasty vanilla and melon in the background, very Barossa. Ripe and round with a somewhat oily texture, has strong citrus, fig, waxy, toasty vanilla and creamy flavours. Soft and elegant but very long and polished, excellent quality sémillon in the ripe Barossa style. Good value.Tasted: 01 May 2001Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
