Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Unfiltered 1998
Napa Valley, California, United StatesDeep colour. Forest floor and licorice aromas with a whiff of barnyard and cassis and dill brine. Totally different in the mouth: rich and round with fine elegance and finesse. Wonderful tannin management. Fine cassis and peppery vanilla flavours in a long persistent smooth finish. A challenge for young vintners but not Mondavi. Less density but broader range of flavours.
