Valdivieso V Pinot Noir 1998
Region del Valle Central, Chile"V" is new territory for Valdivieso as they pursue the ultimate in Chilean pinot noir. From the best lots off the best sites comes a big smoky (sausage) nose that comes from the Francois Frères heavy toast barrels. Rich, round and supple, has orange, spicy, smoky bacon and plum flavours with an earthy, choke cherry aftertaste. Good balance but slightly acidic in the finish.
