Penedès, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainThis is a new, spiffy 100% merlot. The style is almost Chilean but with more depth and poise. Expect very deep colour, with a billowing aroma of black pepper, blackberry, tobacco, and fresh green herbs. Fairly full bodied, but well hinged on acidity and big tannin.
