Carmen Cabernet Sauvignon 1998
Region del Valle Central, ChileMaipo and Rapel fruit half in barrels half in staves 5-6 months in 3,4, 5 year-old oak. Sweet, much more elegant flavours than in the 1998. Similar nose but better mouthfeel with flavours of cassis and capsicum. Soft, round entry but finishes very dry and slightly tannic. Minty, earthy, raw cassis fruit that dries out in the finish. Ten percent merlot.Tasted: 01 March 2001Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $12.95 | 750ml |
