Bodega Lurton Bonarda 1999
Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaBonarda is also planted in Italy, although some authorities believe Argentine bonarda is, in fact, the variety known as charbono in California. Whatever its origin, it is difficult not to like the Lurton example. The aromas and flavours are both rich and earthy, with a brush of game meat. Remember, we are speaking about a wine that sells for $10, and nearly 60 percent of that price is tax. Throw any meat on the barbecue, and you have a match made for gauchos. It's rustic but well worth the money.Tasted: 01 March 2001Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $9.95 | 750ml |
