Chateau d'Armailhac 1998

Bordeaux, FranceOpen spicy, coffee, barnyard, leather, vanilla, pencil lead and blackberry aromas, very nice nose. Quite round and moderately elegant but with some dry tannins in the finish to give some mid-term structure. Nice blackberry, cassis, earthy, coffee flavours with a slightly oaky, tobacco finish. Balanced, lighter style and much better than expected for the vintage. Tasted: 01 October 2000Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
