Trimbach Gewürztraminer 1999

Alsace, FranceOpen spicy, dried lychee, ripe peach, slightly smoky sausage aromas with a touch of green apple, classic Alsace gewürztraminer. Moderately dry and round with a light, oily texture, has good acidity but very elegant and delicate. Lots of mineral, spicy, pear, lychee flavours with a hint of apple and smoke in the finish. Not big but very nice drinking with just the right intensity. Try with scallops or prawns in a fennel-cream sauce or on the deck this summer.Tasted: 01 September 2000Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
