J. Moreau & Fils Sauvignon de Saint-Bris 1999
Chablis, Burgundy, FranceOkay, this isn't a Chablis but it does comes from the nearby Auxerrois village of Saint-Bris-Le -Vineux, the home to the only sauvignon grapes grown in Burgundy, and it is made by Moreau in the crisp Chablis style. Look for mineral, wet wool, citrus and herbal aromas in the glass. It's round and supple in the mouth with a mix of mineral, butter nut and grass flavours. A simple, uncomplicated white wine for delicate, fish dishes or lightly seasoned chicken.Tasted: 01 September 2000Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $14.95 | 750ml |
