Delas Viognier Vins de Pays de la Drôme 1999
Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThis 100 percent viognier is cold pressed and fermented in stainless steel. Apricots and peaches dominate the nose and palate. The fruit is -- almost candied - with a citrus fruit underlay and quite a long, warm, oily finish. Although considered a delicate grape this is quite a rich, albeit European, in style. Not near as exuberant as many New World examples but there's fine quality here. Best drunk young.Tasted: 01 September 2000Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $13.95 | 750ml |
