Carmen Wine Maker's Reserve 1997
Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileA blend of 50 percent cabernet sauvignon, 20 per cent carmeneré, 20 percent petite syrah, and 10 percent merlot. An expression of Maipo terroir as opposed to varietal character. Peppery, spicy, smoky, berry jam, gamey, herbal aromas all wrapped up in a ripe concentrated, moderately tannic red. Flavours are very ripe with spicy, peppery, plum and blackberry jam tones and an earthy, resiny, minty, vanilla finish. Fine aging potential for next 2-5 years.Tasted: 01 March 2000Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $49.95 | 750ml |
