De Bortoli Chardonnay Yarra Valley 1998
Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaAll barrel fermented white using one-third new, one-third one year old and one third second year filled barrels. More cashew character here broader mouth-feel and length. Still there is the citrus lemon undercurrent, which seems to identify the Yarra chardonnay style. Ten percent of the wine is fermented naturally adding more mouth feel and length and toning down some of the fruit character.
