Region del Valle Central, ChileThis is a first merlot released by Veramonte a winery situated in Casablanca and owned by California's Franciscan Winery. 85 per cent Merlot 15 per cent Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is made with American and French Oak. They produce 30,000 cases. Look for deep cherry/red colour. Strange rubbery, vegetal aromas. Mostly under-ripe merlot flavours that are thin and a bit acidic.
