Col Solare Red Table Wine 1996

Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesAn identical blend of 72/26/2 cabernet/merlot/syrah to the inaugural vintage 1995. Earthy, licorice, smoky, blackberry jam, peppery aromas and flavours with oak that is better balanced than the '95 edition. Riper and warmer than the 1995, much bigger style and more Californian. Big ripe tannins here that will need more time to settle down. We like the balance and structure (almost Napa) and if you can afford to wait and pay the money this will be a wine for the cellar.Tasted: 01 March 1999Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
