Deinhard Riesling Piesporter 1997
Mosel, GermanyDeinhard's Piesporter mentions only the village name which means the grapes come from somewhere within the Piesport region. The back label says the grapes come from steep slopes but Deinhard must have chose to simplify the label by using only the Piesporter name without attaching a specific vineyard. The nose slightly stinky and the wine is lean on entry with sweet and sour flavours. The balance is reasonable with green apple fruit and a streak of mineral in the finish.
