Casa Lapostolle Chardonnay Cuvée Alexandre 1997
Valle de Casablanca, Region de Aconcagua, ChileLess overt butter than in the regular version. Similar to a Meursault in style, this exhibits lots of clove and cinnamon spice on the nose. However, the floral, pear, mineral and spice character also reminds us a bit of Sonoma's Alexander Valley. Rich oaky smooth chardonnay that again will appeal to a wide spectrum of drinkers. Look for lots of creamy, honey vanilla flavours in a slightly sweet finish. Attractive mid-range style.
