Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon 1995
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesPepper, spice and cassis dominate its slightly weedy/dill nose. Somewhat tannic and leaner than its Ste. Michelle counterpart but with concentrated flavours of berry jam mint and green bean with some spice in the finish. For the quality, we think it's a steal. Not as ripe or as lush as the merlot but it sells for $6 less. British Columbia cabernets have some catching up to do.Tasted: 01 March 1998Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $19.95 | 750ml |
