Sumac Ridge Pinot Blanc Private Reserve 1996
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaStraw-yellow. The aromas are rich and reminiscent of butterscotch, peach and flinty stone. Mostly barrel fermented, there's lots of wood here but once you peel it back the wine has a skinny, nervous structure similar to the regular version. It probably needs to sit in the bottle until next summer to develop some complexity.Tasted: 01 September 1997Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $14.95 | 750ml |
