Rosemount Chardonnay Show Reserve 1996
Hunter, New South Wales, AustraliaNutty, oily, leesy oak aromas with fried butter. There is some pear fruit but it is almost buried in the lees and smoky oak. Much better on the palate with good richness and weight but it's showing some age, some apple and ripe melon in the finish.
