Fielding Estate Winery Riesling 2013
Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaFrom multiple vineyards across the Niagara Peninsula (and a kid sibling to the Estate Riesling) comes this off-dry, pure-fruited riesling, the crisp, zingy fruit preserved by cool fermentation in stainless steel where it was kept with light lees until bottling. High acidity gobbles up the 26 g/l residual sugar, leaving ripe, sweet pear, zesty pink grapefruit, lime marmalade, fragrant white peach and a swell of mouth-watering acidity on the finish. An echo of eraser and river stone grounds this value find. At 10.5 percent alcohol, it's hard not to gulp this, especially when chilled and a patio is calling.Tasted: 11 March 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:ON | $15.95 | 750ml | LCBO |
