Roland Lavantureux Vauprin Chablis 2022

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceRoland Lavantureux is a subtle yet respected name in Chablis. It is a family-owned estate located in Lignorelles, with over 20 hectares of vineyards across the village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru areas. Vauprin, a renowned lieu-dit on the right bank of the Serein, sits just outside Chablis' Premier Cru zone. The site boasts pure Kimmeridgian limestone soils and naturally high acidity, all of which elevate a village-level Chablis to near Premier Cru status. Look for taut citrus, green apple, crushed oyster shell, chalk dust, and subtle white flowers, complemented by classic saline minerality and a balancing note of stone fruit. It contains no excess oak influence, making it suitable for drinking now or aging until 2030. It pairs well with West Coast shellfish, fresh-grilled halibut, or a simple lemon-herb roast chicken.Tasted: 17 April 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
