Silvio Carta Vermouth di Sardegna Rosso NV
Sardinia, ItalySilvio Carta founded his eponymous company in Baratili San Pietro in the 1950’s, devoting himself to making traditional wines and spirits of the region. Sixty years on, Silvio, together with his son Elio, the latter at the head since 1973, still devote themselves to these aims. Made from a blend of aged Vernaccia di Oristano Riserva, this red vermouth is infused with a blend of forged Sardinian herbs, including Myrtle, Thyme, Lentisk (Mastic), and Artemisia. Warm, and complexed, with ample scrubby rosemary, bay leaf, dark honey, molasses, toasted walnut, all studded with sea salts.
