Silvio Carta Vermouth di Sardegna Bianco Servito NV
Sardinia, ItalySilvio Carta founded his eponymous company in Baratili San Pietro in the 1950’s, devoting himself to making traditional wines and spirits of the region. Sixty years on, Silvio, together with his son Elio, the latter at the head since 1973, still devote themselves to these aims. This Vermouth is a blend of young Vernaccia IGT wine infused with elicriso, Desoleana sage, myrtle, and senecio serpens. Heady green herbs, wild orange, potent mint, and ripe quince, the intense, silken, streaming palate is laced with Mediterranean salts and eucalyptus over an expansive base of plush vanilla stone fruit.
