Domaine Loew Pinot Gris Le Ménhir 2021

Alsace, FranceThis pinot gris comes off Bruderbach's sandstone soils, kissed with limestone. It was fermented in a mix of 40/60 old oak / stainless, finished leaving 6 g/L. Even with that RS, the racing acidity leaves this feeling dry on the finish. There's a lovely concentration on the medium palate, with white honey, pear skin, buzzy stones and subtle spicing. There is ample extract to assist the 14.1% palate, which still finishes fresh. Quite smart.Tasted: 09 March 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
