Château La Coste Les Pentes Douces 2017

Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FranceThis blend of organic cabernet sauvignon and syrah come from d'Aix's clay limestone soils. It was aged in oak barrels for 14 months, prior to 2-3 years in bottle prior to release. Deep and dusky, with blackberry, plum, black cherry, crushed florals wrapped with ample gritty tannins, seemingly unresolved even this far along. The limestone soils give a pleasant sheen of freshness, though this broody wine still needs a decant and pairing of lamb or beef.Tasted: 03 March 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
