Château La Coste Grand Cuvée Rouge 2012

Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FranceThis current 2012 release blends old vine organic cabernet sauvignon and syrah from d'Aix's limestone soils. After a ferment in stainless, this aged French oak (50% new) for 20 months. Opaque in the glass, this full red is still clad in ample gritty / sticky tannins, most likely never to shed. In between is sun baked and leathery black cherry, blackberry, dark earth, and baking spice. The finish is sticky with bitter cherry and black espresso. If having now, decant and serve with fire-grilled beef or lamb. 5000 bottles.Tasted: 03 March 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
